5 Throughout the western world, the increased practice
of alternative medicine and interest in eastern
philosophies has led many to rediscover the Benefits
of Ayurveda. Derived from the Sanskirt words Ayu which
means ‘life’ and Veda means ‘knowledge’, this 5,000
year old Indian science is based on the philosophy that
health and wellbeing are achieved when everything:
mind, body, spirit, senses and emotions are in a state
of perfect balance.
Ayurvedic Massage Oils play an important role in
Ayurvedic treatments and are based on the three
Ayurvedic constitutions of Vata, Pitta or Kapha. A
traditional massage using a combination of Ayurvedic
massage techniques with Ayurvedic Massage oil selected
according to body constitution helps to enhance vitality
and firmness, while at the same time leaving the body
feeling calm and relaxed.
